The failed top-hat layup between the door frames being removed. I've cut roughly into it with a diamond disc on the angle grinder, taking care not to cut into the original structure.

With the faulty layup removed, it is clear how the BID has failed to conform to the foam shape.

The area of the forward top-hat layup cleaned up after removing the first attempt. The power file proved very useful for this remedial work and saved a lot of time and manual labour.
