replacing instrument panel blanking plate: 2022-03-19 Panasonic DMC-FT1
The upper, matt-black, item is the original blanking plate made to cover the 2 bottom-left-hand instrument holes in the main instrument panel. The Airbox Aware mount passed through the large hole on the right and was secured to a right-angle bracket fitted to the back of the blanking plate. With the demise of the Airbox Aware and its replacement by Runway HD running on a second-hand iPhone, the large hole was not required, and in fact one of the fixing holes for the iPhone RAM mount fell inside that hole. So a replacement panel was needed, and here the new part has been to match, by scribing the outlines of the holes for the original.
